It is worth going if you happen to be in Geneva, unless you are a physic fanatic who’d pay to travel all the way just for it!! the CERN is like a little ‘town’ with streets named after scientists. I met a guy once who worked there, studying the weight of a micro-particule inside of an electron (itself divided by 4 micro-particules), which would determine whether the universe is expanding or contracting, and he was completely excited about it, showing me around the CERN, and quite engrossed in his project. It was interesting to listen to him and I made an big effort to understand (my English was very bad at the time, as well as my level of abstraction) to get a tiny insight about what is around us, but had a headache at the end of the evening… Still worth it though!!
