How I did it: its a martial art, it is not that hard to learn judo as it is mostly defense and rolling. it was really easy and i garantee that anyone who is phisicly able can do it. and if you cant visit the dojo, then go online to expert village and type at the top judo. it will show you a whole bunch of videos.
Lessons & tips: concentrate, just concentrate.
Resources: computer, expert village, my able body.
I have had my eye on a dojo in Sale, UK, but as of yet it seems like that is going to be a bit hard to organise to get down there and back all the time, especially during the week.
On a positive note though, I have checked out all the universities that I want to go to and they each have a Judo club so I think I might start learning techniques and such on my own and then join a Judo club when I get to university.
i am already practiceing the martial arts: karate, self defense and shaolin. why not learn judo.

Started about a month or two ago, and its been great. Only problem is that I got cauliflower ear, so i have to wait a little to until it heals up…
I’m taking judo just for fun and its definably fulfilled that requirement. Now i just have to figure out how to keep myself injury free.

I am a 15 year old junior ikkyu (purle belt and highest junior rank), in the east coast area (shufu) i have been doing judo for years and love it!! its a very rewarding sport and worth doing. i had been taking a break from it tho for the past few months and now am really out of shape, for the past two years i have gone to the junior nationals and US junior open, but this year i didnt and now i really need to get back into national level fitness.
