but I’ll keep your dad in my thoughts and prayers. Hope he is feeling all right in spite of it all.

Sorry I haven’t had internet access for a few days. Went home for a visit(plus there’s a group in from Chicago that I’d been planning to visit this weekend even before I knew about the surgery).
My dad is doing very well. He’s still a little sore, but is recovering fast. He was feeling well enough that he was able to preach at his church yesterday, so that was nice. Still no word on the mass, they said 10-14 days though, and I think he’s got another appointment sometime for a followup.
So far though, everything seems to be good. I can’t express how much I appreciate everyone’s support.

I can’t describe how it feels to come home and see all of this.
I’ve got mostly good news.
The surgery was delayed this morning because they had two emergency surgeries before the surgeon started his scheduled surgeries. So he started a couple hours late, but once they got started apparently everything went pretty smooth. They did end up having to take out more of the surrounding tissue than they expected, so he’s going to be sore for a while and have to be careful because he’ll be more susceptible to hernias. The surgeon and pathologist weren’t able to tell if it was benign or malignant, which is a good sign. They are going to send it off and have some tests done before we will know for sure though.
He was feeling a little nauseous and is a bit dehydrated, so they want to keep him overnight to take care of the hydration and make sure the nausea goes away. Neither one is severe though and both are pretty common.
Anyway, I’m gonna head back now, I just had to come get some of his normal medicine(for blood pressure and such) to see if the nurses want him to take it or not.
New Isabella is not going shopping today...
You said in an entry you made the other day that God is a very personal God, who comprehends your path and your lying down, who is aquainted with all your ways, and who knows you better than you know yourself. I pray that throughout this day, you, your dad, and your entire family have known God’s presence and felt God’s caring, and that you continue to do so in the hours and days to come.
caiti awesomepants old enough to know better. too young to care.
please be with oogy and his family, today and always. if his family is as sweet as he is, then they deserve nothing but the best. help them through this tough time and let them know that everything is going to be ok and that your plan for them is a great one. thank you for everthing. i love you.
amen.

Oogyboogawa, know that we are with you and your family and keep us informed of how it goes.
I just saw Alaythia had this goal, so I clicked on “I want to do this.”
I hope everything goes well for your Dad today.
