I did play in the snow in “rohtang pass” but I was just 12 so I wanna do it again play in the snow!!!! :D
How I did it: On the way to my brother-in-law's wedding at Lake Tahoe, there was a freak snowstorm in September. They closed the pass so we had to stay in one of the towns below Colfax for the night. The next morning, we got in the car and drove to the Donner monument, where we got out and played in the snow! My daughter was wearing sandals because it was hot in the Central Valley, and I have a picture of her toes covered in snow. She and daddy got int… Read how I did it…
How I did it: waited for it to snow then ran out and played in it as much as I could. I loved watching it and kept running to the window to check it was still snowing. Read how I did it…

because I now live in the desert
Being from California I never got to see snow as a kid. Then I started dating a guy from Ohio and went home with him for Christmas. At first it was too warm and I thought I’d be going back to London (where I was studying) without ever seeing snow, but then the day before we left it just started coming down and didn’t stop.
There’s something magical about snow. The way everything looks after it’s been coated in pure white powder, the way flakes stand out on black gloves…it’s easy to understand why kids love it.
Got out of work early because of the roads freezing and played in the snow with Anita. Dorks. =P
Today I played in the snow with the kiddies. I am not too fond of the cold. Well, I sure picked the wrong place to live! But the kiddies love when I suffer for them. So we played on the giant snow pile left by the plow guys.
We got about 3 feet today, more to come.
Gotta love lake effect snow.
I took some great pictures.
I’m pretty passionate about this, hehe.
See, I’ve never seen snow.
And I have always, always wanted to. To play in it. Make a snowman. An angel. Have a snowball fight.
I use to talk to my Grandfather on the phone, and I promised him many times to see my first snow with him in North Carolina. But, he died before I could ever keep my promise. I couldn’t keep it. I don’t want to cry, but I can pretty easily when I think about this. It was so important to him. To me. My first snowfall will probably be this best part of my life, my heart is so set on it. And I couldn’t share it with him.
But, now I’m even more determined! >.< I will make sure I see my first snowfall in North Carolina! Hopefully, at least. To keep the promise as best I can.
Gramps, I hope your listening. =] I’m going to see snow as soon as I can. I’ll play in it and admire it’s beauty. Catch a few on my tongue. Lay down and absorb it in my heart.
I’ll keep it. I promise.
