    The average walking speed for a woman is 3 miles an hour, which is 20 minutes to the mile.

    The distance that I’m jogging is 1/3 mile, so to walk it should take 6 mins 40 s on average.

    Today’s time: 5 mins 29.76 s



    Progress 3 weeks ago

    I have been jogging twice in the last week, once last Thursday and once this evening. However, I can’t mark this goal as complete yet because I didn’t run for very long. Unfortunately, my stamina is really low and my fitness is poor, so I get too knackered after about 5 minutes (and that’s jogging, not a full-out sprint!). I’ve set myself a relatively short distance to do and recorded the time it took me and I’m going to try and reduce that time before adding to the distance.

    So, it may take a while to do 30 minutes in one go. Perhaps, I should have set my sights a little lower when I set this goal, taking into account my awful level of fitness. Never mind – it’s set now, but it will take me longer than originally anticipated to complete this.

    Not only did I not go running last month, when I actually set the goal, but I haven’t been running this month either and there’s only 2 days left. I should really do this soon – there’s no excuse with the weather getting nicer :)

    I have 3 days in which to do this and so I’ve decided to make it happen, I’m allocating a time :) So, after work tomorrow, around 5pm, I’m going for a run, which I’m sure will work up an appetite ready for dinner! :)

    I have 9 days until the end of month to complete this, but with hail, snow, wind and cold, I haven’t really felt like doing this just yet. I hope the weather improves and then I have at least a slightly higher than nil chance of getting this done… We’ll see.
