Get my hood pierced

How I did it: before i got pierced i did a little research to have an idea of what i was getting into. i waited for my boyfriend to go on vacation and just showed up at the shop with a friend and went for it! it's not so much a painful experience as a quick pinch. it startled me and made me jump lol! it was slightly embarrassing because i didn't realize that she would have to poke around to find the best feeling placement. now that's how you know you went to the right piercer ;) once it heals i'll be able to experiment with different lengths/types of jewelry to find what works best for me.

Lessons & tips: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you go to an experienced piercer to get this done!

everyone's anatomy is different and not everyone can get this piercing. i had a friend that had a horrible experience involving stitches and cauterizing because she wouldn't stop bleeding "down there' because she went to some one that tried to pierce her hood and she doesn't really have one. on top of that he hit a vein. that almost stopped me from getting one till she went and saw my piercer, who explained exactly what went wrong.

look at pictures of different piercings with different jewelry to decide what you want and then go into your piercer and discuss if it is right for you. if your piercer tries to go ahead and pierce you without telling you that he/she needs to examine you to make sure you can get the piercing with the style of jewelry you want, pull up your pants and run like hell!

even if you aren't built for the particular piercing/jewelry you want your piercer will be able to discuss your options with you if you are open to trying another type of genital piercing.

my piercer told me that it was ok to have sex as long as you don't put pressure on the piercing and to make sure to use protection to prevent bodily fluids from coming in to contact with it. (she recommends doggie style). she also said to leave the piercing alone for at least two weeks before messing with it and to make sure to try it out on your own before letting your partner touch it so you can instruct them on what they can and can't do.

she also said it would stretch slightly and to keep an eye on it because you might have to get bigger jewelry. once it heals i can decide if i want to get a shorter barbell so the ball rests more on my clit or to leave it as it it. she also mentioned that a longer barbell can be pulled on and moved around and i would just have to experiment to figure out what works best for my anatomy. she even showed me different colored beads and even sparlky ones i can get to bling myself out(but make sure to keep the metal ball on the bottom because it won't be affected by bodily fluids)
