irieman is taking it one day at a time.
When I moved from my apartment of 10 years, I obviously had a lot stuff I had to get rid of. Among them, tons of clothes I don’t wear.
I went through them all and sorted the giveaways into boxes- never worn shirts (yeah, many!), slightly worn shirts, pants, shoes, and jackets. Buy the timne I was done I had 6 copy-paper boxes worth of clothes to give away. But how?
I didn’t want to give them to Goodwill because they would just turn around and sell them (most of the shirts I got for free). After 3 months of trying to find a charity that caters to men (yeah, try it some time) I found myself still sitting on a pile of old clothes. Reluctantly I schlepped them off to Goodwill after all.
Somewhere out there are young men with brand new LA Marathon t-shirts who paid 100% more for them that I did! :(
