Essentially I am failing hardcore at this.
HOWEVER:
Frightened Rabbit, Mirah, Doug Burr, Great Lake Swimmers, The Fratellis, Caribou, Tuung, Bon Iver, The Wombats (that I can remember for now).

Tilly and the Wall
For some reason their name has put me off listening to them. I don’t know why, and it’s stupid. But I finally decided to check out some of their music because I have encountered much love for them lately. And now I understand.
I’ve only listened to a handful of songs but already I am tempted to aquire every release of theirs, ever. Beat Control is just pure, immediate happiness, and Rainbows in the Dark is so pretty, and I freaking LOVE their remix of The Freest Man. It utterly slays me, for some reason.
So yes. Verdict = a lot of awesome. And I require a punch in the face for not listening to them sooner.

The Felice Brothers
My God, you must listen to them. I have not been this excited about new music for a while. They’re just fucking gorgeous. There’s something very Bob Dylan-esque about the vocals, but the instrumentation is so rich, and in that way they remind me a little of Beirut. I love it. Love love love it.
powder your nose
pull off your panty hose
let me love you from behind,
my darling
Songs: Her Eyes Dart Round, Roll on Arte, Wonderful Life, Waterspider.
Pretty much inspired by Billy’s 50 albums goal, but I don’t so much have the attention span for that, also I’m not supposed to download music and I can’t afford to buy 50 albums.
SO. Instead I aim to expand my musical tastes by exposing myself to different bands, and singers, just a couple of songs here and there, and the ones that tickle my fancy will perhaps result in album’ness.

Will Oldham
I have been meaning to listen to this guy since I read the lyrics to ‘All These Vicious Dogs’ a couple of years ago (which are just beautiful by the way).
Once again in the world,
of twelve hundred feelings,
all in electric lights,
we see what we can.
And I have been yours,
in fall and in praying,
and I love to look at you
from the side at night
with music playing.
Although I still haven’t managed to track this song down, I’ve been listening to his music this afternoon, and it’s really sweet, folky, melancholy sort of stuff. Favourite track so far is I Confess.
