Yes, I want to whitewater kayak. I think I need to be able to roll first. I need more time.

Across the city-
Across the water.
I picked up my son to kayak home-across the river.
While I was away, someone took my helmet and
my paddle.
We couldn’t find them.
I decided that the water was flat enough and I didn’t need the helmet.
No helmet.
Safe anyway.
But how could I direct my course with no paddle?
I picked up another one and it was too short.
Then, a tall man reached up and handed me another one,
from a display.
I couldn’t use it, either. On display.
Turns out, the paddle was in my boat.
The whole time.
I just didn’t see it.
(and flat water paddling) currently, because the ocean is close, and think most of the skills will transfer over to whitewater.

white knuckles! I did this one time last year and need to do it again.
I’ve been whitewater kayaking for two years. This year, I became a whitewater rafting guide on the New River and the Gauley River. This gave me the oppurtunity to kayak both of these great Rivers. Whitewater Kayaking is the best adrenaline rush, I have found!
