i want to learn how to speak navajo becaus it was my grand motheres last wish before she passed away… i will learn this language for her! and for my self as well.

As my name states.I am indeed Black.But culturally and raised Navajo.Sadly,I haven’t the slightest bit of knowledge on language!I’ve looked so many places,bought many books,and used up more money than I probably should have on this enormous quest.Please,I’m begging for your help!

Indians/Native Americans have interested me ever since I was a child and it’s not only the way they are one with nature, but the language itself. From what I understand they speak feelings when they talk (for ex they don’t say “I’m hungry” but they say “the hunger hurts my body” or something along those lines). Except for that, I think the language itself is so beautiful to listen to and now I want to learn how to speak it too!

I’m also planning on learning Sweet Medicine, the course starts this autumn and I can’t wait!

So please please, if you can help me and send me audio recordings on pronunciations and things like that and explain the language more, please do! So far I’m sniffing around the web to try and understand the newly found written version of it (but it’s quite hard I’ll tell you!)

I simply adore and love Indians both by looks, speech and belief… I can’t imagine a life without them in my heart!
