I have received a lot of compliments on the pictures I’ve taken here. I focus on the kids, because they are so different than the kids at home — but they are still very similar.
The kids constantly ask for chocolate and pens. They also know that a soldier’s cargo pocket is where we carry candy.
Anyway, I like what I am doing, and will write a book about the experience. I plan on using the pictures from here for the book and a photo exhibit. 1 month ago
I have taken over 1000 picture since I’ve been in Afghanistan, and the quality is getting better. My camera isn’t expensive, but it takes great pictures.
I’ll probably upgrade it when I go on leave in March. Until then, I’ll keep practicing with what I have. 2 months ago
