Spend this spring and summer reading outdoors

on vaca. beach and at the campsite both. at campsite, we had a hammock-very condusive to reading. finished 2 books and about 1/3 through yet another Donleavy, perhaps the best so far. I say that about every Donleavy I read. looks like after summer, i can mark as done. though i would like to read so much more than i do. bad, evil tv and internet. must step back and just read. :-)

I’ve been reading outdoors—either on my lunchbreak or before/after work on the porch.

We’ve really only had one good reading on deck day of weather. And I chose to read the internets. Bad me. But we’re looking ahead at day after day of temperatures above freezing. (above freezing for me, at least. generally teeth chatter and i shiver at like 65F. Yeah, and I want to move to Canada???)

My consequences goal only has a month and a half left, and uhhh I still need to read 11 books. Yimes. I am almost done with the one I am reading right now, but I’ve misplaced it somewhere in this labyrinthian apartment. Theoretically, if I did nothing but read and work until May 30, I might possibly make it. I don’t want to quit 43 things for 24 days!!!! But what is a goal without consequences?

I have a huge “to read” pile.
