This is your paper anniversary…

I do remember when you two got hitched. I had only been on 43T for a few months but the community here was like no other I have encountered.(online) They were so warm and truly did wish you both happiness in your lives together as a couple in the future.

Love and Congratulations to you both on your 1st Anniversary. McSmarty and I thought it would be fun to go by tradition gifts and make it more interesting and creative. I bought him books & book marks and note pads, post-its with funny sayings…..He bought me a jewelery cleaner to keep my wedding ring clean?!(it did have an instruction booklet enclosed ;)

Now that I just looked up the modern gifts maybe I should have gone that route? Dang Diamonds at TEN Years!! WHAT was I thinking!! LOL!!

OK, I have been a little slow about doing this, but I’d like to add my voice to the many others wishing you a happy anniversary. Even though you’ve both been very quiet on here this year, from the bits I have heard it sounds like your life together is great. May you celebrate many more anniversaries together!

been a year already!

Congrats to the two of you!

So I’ve had this flock of sheep that I’ve been trying to wrangle together to get off in the mail to Roxie and Sanev, but they’ve not been cooperating. Since I didn’t get them across the border in time to be there for their anniversary, the least I can do is share some good wishes for one of my favorite 43couples.

I really miss Roxi, but I know that she’s focusing on the things she needs to do. I’m actually really excited for her as she works toward finishing school and will soon have a wide open future in front of her. I’m just thrilled that Cookie is there with her, supporting her with backrubs and footrubs and the occasional salad cream or tuna.

While to many he’s Cookie, to me he’ll always be Sanev. I miss his abominable avatar as I always think of the Ghost of Illegal when I see his current one. I truly admire and respect him for pursuing his dreams, and then helping Roxi pursue hers. He’s the kind of man that I try to be, and the kind that I value as a friend.

So to Roxi and Sanev, may you continue to grow closer together as you build a future that embraces both of your lives and interests (even if that means giving in to more trips to Ikea).

It’s been a strange year for me, but a perfect one too with the woman I love, and I wouldn’t change a thing. I certainly never expected to find myself in Canada. Well not so soon anyway, but you have to follow your heart sometimes.

I know we aren’t as active on here as we used to be, especially Roxi who is bogged down with a job and studying for a University degree, but this site still means a lot to us both, as do a lot of the people on here.

On behalf of us both, I thank you all for remembering, and in celebrating our first wedding anniversary.
