Put a message in a bottle and throw it out to sea

I definitely wanna do this !

My boyfriend and I packed a lunch and decided to check out this nature center on the beach today. It ended up being really fun, so we then drove through the small town and walked on the beach. It turned out to be low tide so I couldn’t throw the bottle there. We were leaving and we found a nice place to leave my message in a bottle.

I hope someone finds it, even though there’s no way I would ever know. Then when we got back, I received another postcard from Postcrossing!

I wrote out my message and tied it with a ribbon. My bottle is ready to go. All I need to do is send it out to sea!

The first step is deciding on something good to put IN the bottle! I have to think if I want a quote, my email address (to see if anyone got it) or something else. Hmmm…any ideas?

what would i write in the message? id wana kno who found it. Id enclose my email address. lol

I want to do this, but I think I’m gonna throw it in the river instead, it’s kinda hard to find a sea in Minnesota…=)

Now I just need to find a bottle…(hmmm, an excuse to drink one of those really good bottled sodas that comes in the glass bottle?)

To write everything I can fit onto that little messege; secrets, a short childhood story, poems, quotes and last my where abouts. Maybe someone will mail me their secrets and responses?

I did this as part of an art installation. I wrote 50 letters, but them in bottles, painted them, and hid them all over the city. I also posted an e-mail address so they could write back if they want. It was nice to get the responses, and people seemed happy to find them.

hey this is a very good idea. I will try to do this. Maybe today I will do it since it’s my birthday.
