How I did it: I told all my friends that it was going to be a surprise, and after we got back from seeing a movie at the movie theatre, we pounced! She was so happy! Her mom had tried to give her a surprise birthday, but she had texted everyone to come, which failed. One person came. :( So I threw her one with all of her friends there, and we made a cake and everything! I think that it meant a lot to her that we remembered about it, and I would DEFINITELY do it again!

My 2nd son said he doesn’t want a birthday party for his 21st birthday. He insists on no party. Like I’m going to listen to that! So I’ve planned a surprise party for him tomorrow. Guess what he says to me this evening in the car… “My surprise party better be tomorrow.” I look shocked and ask why- hypothetically.
