My boyfriend and I started this one day when we first got together. He had a tummy ache. My niche is making great tea that makes people feel better. I went downstairs and mixed up some herbs boiled some water and brought it up to him… well, he thought I was so sweet we tousled around on the bed a little and on the floor a lot… needless to say he likes my tea. Don’t get me started on all the different kinds of tea there is to make… he’s too creative.

Ok I guess this is a strange goal to complete as a person who is working on “stop taking sugar in tea” as another goal. Anyway after hearing about Southern Sweet Tea the whole idea both fascinated and intimidated me so last night I tracked down a recipe on the Internet which I made and chilled in the refrigerator overnight before trying earlier this afternoon. It was definitely very sweet and almost like drinking a thin syrup and you could tell by looking at the bubbles from pouring it that it was a little thicker than water. Anyway even though all that sugar briefly made my stomach a little uneasy for a bit I’d say that it was worth it to try and it really helped me affirm that cutting sugar out of my tea is something that I want to do after experiencing tea on the other polar extreme. I’m also glad that I made a micro batch of only one glass instead of an entire half gallon sized batch.
