make sure lachlan and katie like me

Katie is a shoe-in. She adores me and let me tell you the feeling is mutual. She is such a bright, talented girl and she’s an absolute pleasure to be around.

Lachlan no longer screams in my presence and has actually ventured a smile or two and even a bit of gurgle-like speech.

Yay for success.

I spent all of Friday with Katie Rose and then a bit of Saturday night. We had some awesome chats, and she actually reminds me a lot of me at her age. Head constantly stuck in a book, loves school, perhaps a teensy bit of a drama queen.

And Lachlan has stopped screaming at me, so I can only consider that a good thing. = )

Well on Saturday I saw Katie again (Lachie was asleep), and I got to have a bit of a chat with her. She’s a cutie, and I’m pretty sure she’s a lot less uncomfortable around me now, so that’s awesome.

I stayed at Josh’s last night, and his nephew and niece, Lachlan and Kaitlan, came over in the morning. Lachlan’s 2 and Katie is about 12, and they’re both really sweet kids.

HOWEVER, Katie clearly didn’t seem to like me, and Lachlan told me in no uncertain terms to “GO ‘WAY”. That was probbbbbbbably because I was taking up his Uncle Joshie’s time.

Anyway, the point is, the kids mean the world to Josh, so it’s kind of important to me that they like me, so I’m going to have to make an extra effort to be extra patient and extra lovely.
