Visit Poland again

I’ve been to the land of my ancestors only once, and was fortunate to be able to, yet would love to go again. That was nearly a decade ago, and I was only 6 years old. I’d love to go back for so many reasons: to see my maternal family (most of them live there), the natural beauty, the culture, the differences. My parents were going to have me go this past summer or the one before on an exchange program…I’d much rather go on a personal trip without the restraint of a specific group or itinerary, and I’d rather be with people I’m relate to somehow or have met before – even if it’s been this long. Hopefully I can improve my Polish and save up enough money, and then I’ll likely be able to go next year. ^^

I’ve visited Poland almost every year that I’ve lived. I go with my mum and younger sister to visit my gram in Bialystok. Bialystok is an amazing city! It never gets too hot! But usually gets too cold in the winter! In Bialystok the shopping is good everything is cheap because 1 dollar is worth 3 zloty. And there’s a remaining palace there. It’s lovely. It’s a park around the palace, but inside it’s a medical school. I’m planning on going there in a few years to study abroad. I’ve also been to Gdansk. It’s amazing. The beaches are lovely. The ice cream is great (I have to say this because I can’t stop thinking about it)! I also went to Sopot to see the Molo. I gotta tell you it gets pretty hot on that Molo. I also went to Saint Mary’s Basilica in Gdansk too! I was lucky enough to see it before it went up in flames last year. But on a lighter note, Warsaw is a great city too! I’ve been to Krakow too! It’s a beautiful city. But, I haven’t got the heart to visit Auschwitz. But, Gdansk and Bialystok are the best to visit in my opinon!

But not any time soon, I know. So I’m going to put it in the “I give up” list for now, to clear up some space.
