Stitch is returning from the Dark Side that is Facebook
As some of you know my Dad passed away on Feb 29th just three days after his 80th birthday.
He had been in the hospital three times in the last three months with myelodysplastic syndrome. He had been on oxygen for about three years, smoking for 70 years will do that to you. The last three weeks of his life he was under Hospice care. I can’t say enough about these people.
I suppose my point is that he had lived a full life and it wasnt a surprise when he passed away.
What I have been touched by is how kind people have been. Many of them complete strangers or in the case of most of you here, people I know only in a digital sense.
I’ve also been shocked by the response of some people that I thought were fairly close friends.
One person I worked with for over a year, ate lunch with every day and hung out with outside of work. I’ve yet to hear from. Not a phone call, not a e-mail, txt message or a card. I’m not so much hurt as worried how my radar was off to such a degree about this person.
She says that I was blinded by the blonde hair, blue eyes and 25 year old perky boobs and a juicy ass. Perhaps.
Does one know when one is rambling?
Anyway I just wanted to thank everyone here for all their kind words and thoughts. It helped.
