attend the Game Developers Conference in 2009

I got a scholarship to attend this conference!! I sent in an application/short essay and was one of 25 people selected by the IGDA to get a free Main Conference pass. I am beyond excited because this is a fantastic opportunity for me to network and get a chance at a great job.

The conference pass itself is pretty expensive, not to mention the flight out to San Francisco from the east coast, but I have the hotel part covered. There are a ton of hostels in downtown SF that rent out single beds for $25 a night, and this usually includes everything a normal hotel would give you like a meal, towels and internet access. So I think staying in a hostel would be a great way to save money during GDC.
