Growing up in a warm climate and not even having seen real live snow until I was an adult, making a snow angel seemed like a silly thing I had only ever heard about. Even though I had been to the snow many times now, the thought of making a snow angel had never even occurred to me. It wasn’t until I had seen some imprints in the snow during my recent trip to Mammoth that I thought it might be fun to try even though it was silly. On December 24, 2012 as we were walking near the Eagle Lodge in Mammoth I mentioned to Andrew that I wanted to try making a snow angel and he suggested I just do it right there (see the photo). So, I did. I think I would have enjoyed it more when I was a kid. I didn’t find it that fun, but now I can say I’ve done it… 4 months ago
