As a Christmas present to myself and to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, I fostered another baby elephant, Dida.

For my birthday, one of the presents I asked for was an elephant. I searched around and found this wildlife foundation, www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org, and they allow people to foster elephants and rhinos in Kenya for $50.00 a year. I get watercolor paintings, news about my baby elephant’s health, life, well-being, and I get pictures every month. I’m really happy, this was probably my favorite birthday present. I chose a nursery baby named Orok who fell down a ruby mine and hates blankets. He’s adorable!
