Have a wonderful, relaxing long weekend with my family this Easter.

I’d love to say that I got a lot of relaxing and sleep in there, however that’s a bit of an elusive dream with eight adults, one teenager, a toddler, a baby, three noisy dogs and a cat all in one house for the weekend. Not to mention the possums that play football with lead boots on in the roof all night (at least that’s what it sounds like).

Still, it was a good weekend had by all & the ghost tour was a highlight. Plus actually having three hours of toddler free, ‘grown-up’ time spent over lunch with my best friend who I only manage to see once or twice a year. That was a real treat!!

To get to my parents house. A loooooong trip when it’s just you and your toddler, but always nice to feel the city getting further behind and heading into the hills at our final destination.

I’ve been really hoping for some lovely cool weather down there, but they’ve been averaging 38 deg C. So that isn’t looking too hopeful at the moment.

We’ll be going on a ghost tour while at home in the old asylum that’s now a Uni campus. It’s over 100 yrs old, and should be an interesting experience. My cousins hubby has just started the tours so this is very much a family experience. Hope it’s good. I know that the history is long and sadly tragic, hopefully I don’t get spooked.

Then of course I have the 600+km drive home to look forward to…........
