Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama (born January 17, 1964) is the current First Lady of the United States, and the wife of the forty-fourth President of the United States Barack Obama. She is the first African American First Lady.
She was born and grew up on the South Side of Chicago and graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School. After completing her formal education, she returned to Chicago and accepted a position with the law firm Sidley Austin, and subsequently worked as part of the staff of Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley, and for the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Michelle Obama is the sister of Craig Robinson, men’s basketball coach at Oregon State University. She met Barack Obama when he joined Sidley Austin. After his election to the U.S. Senate, the Obama family continued to live on Chicago’s South Side, choosing to remain there rather than moving to Washington, D.C.

My mother, my sister, my stepsister, my nieces, my stepmother, my aunts, my cousins, both of my grandmothers, and my girlfriends. This is my baseline entry, not numbered, but they are my roots, my home, my past, present and future. I admire women because the women I love are role models for admirable women.

9. Elizabeth Elliot – I’ll be learning more about her soon when I read her book, Passion and Purity, but I know that she was married to Jim Elliot and they were missionaries. Jim was killed by the missionaries he tried to reach and Elizabeth continued to minister after his death. She, like many people on my list, saved sex for marriage.
10. Susie Shellenburger – A single woman who, after being a drama teacher and youth pastor, became the editor of Brio magazine and a minister to teens across the world. She has written many books for teen girls.
