Make 300 Handbags

I am about to fail on this challenge. Oh well. I haven’t heard back about the bags so I guess they don’t want them. I am still going to finish making them and probably sell them on ebay and etsy. I will post links when I do.

so now they DONT want to pay for materials or shipping…?

okay so they love my bags. Kickass. And they have offered to pay for materials. Now I just have to get these things made and shipped.

I need:
*zippers-from ebay
*denim
*satin
*chains
*business cards
*tags printed
*time
*energy

EDIT they have moved the date for the opening back so that gives me a couple more weeks to finish. Guess I should have waited to challenge myself. Ugh.

EDIT AGAIN they have also offered to pay for the cost of shipping. This just gets better and better. Back to work!!!

okay so…i guess i am never going to get an answer about whether they like the bags or not…they offered to pay for materials IF they decide that they like them…but then never said either way…...watch out ebay…here come my purses…!!!

The email has been sent. I will probably find out in the morning whether they hate the bags or not. Good luck to me. Either way I plan to make 300 of these bags. I am not about to waste 300 navy blue 7inch zippers. Guess if Mister Madsen doesn’t like my design I will just have to sell 300 purses on ebay. Haha.

A sample of purses have been made. They just need lining and zippers. I am about to do the lining and the zippers will have to wait a week or two until those from ebay are shipped to me. I am going to email a photo of five of these to see what they think. Then I will know if I have to make 295 more or just give up. Haha.

I broke my sewing machine needle…go me…

I am dizzy. I have a migraine. I reek of bleach. I have no black paint. This is going to be a fun process. (Insert smiley face here) No sarcasm intended. I love difficult things that make me angry and drive me crazy because once I accomplish them it feels sooo good. <3

So I can’t find any attractive chains to use for the shoulder and wrist straps. I don’t want anything beautiful but attractive would be nice. Not something you would tie your beagle out with. I can’t find anything at a decent price that is still attractive and strong. Guess I am just going to have to ugly them up a little. Herm.

But I am not gonna. Okay so bleaching is not going so well. I wanted a spray effect and its not working. Just subtly lightening the fabric. Ew. Not at all what I wanted. So I am just gonna splash it on there in big spots and see where that takes me. Wish me luck!!
