final feedback is there, and it isn’t nearly as bad as i’d been fearing considering the muddled state of my mind at the time of writing (muddled as in blackberries in a black poodle). am now enjoying thinking about where to go next. yay.

Not downlaoded my feedback as I am at work, but I got marginally more for it than TMA01, which is a miracle considering how I cobbled it together at the last minute due to time pressures.
But I have done enough to pass – ZONINO!!!
I do need to go back and revisit the materials in more detail now the pressure is off. Good job I downloaded it all before the website gets taken away.
So counting this as done now. Yhis was a trial run to see if I might maybe do A215, but I think I can do without the added pressure in my life of a structured course and I might well be better to take my new found skills and post my work to some on line forum for ongoing feedback, of which there was a distinct lack in my TGF. 4 years ago

Read blocks 4 and 5
Written a 1500 word chapter of a novel
Scoped out the plot for the rest of the novel
Written 300 words on my reasons for choosing tense, genre, pov etc.
Blimmin eck. If I pass this it will be miracle!!
Tomorrow I will look at all again and start editing – or maybe rewrite the whols thing! 4 years ago

for this week’s tutorial we have to post books we’ve read recently that we’d recommend to others. brilliant. also i got my marks for my TMA and they were very cheering indeed. am about to quit the day job. wishful thinking.4 years ago

i’ve submitted the first assignment to the system, with a whole 44 minutes to spare. none of my little stories had an ending, they all turned out ravingly over-ambitious but not knowing where to go. i hope i wasn’t supposed to write my name anywhere, because i didn’t.
on to block 3, then! 4 years ago

I’ve written it now – but not going to send it just yet in case I get second thoughts. And I might just let it settle a bit and revisit on Thursday to see if I want to edit it at all.
Still a distinct lack of feedback in the TGF and I am loathe to post anything else now as there is only me and one other person posting anything right now (maybe they are all busy doing the TMA) and it looks a bit like I am hogging the forum.
Would have appreciated a few more wise words from Teach though before the TMA. 4 years ago

a travelling magician who’s just got back from the middle east has now joined our group.
most people seem to be quite behind. someone is stamping his feet about our lack of feedback on his story. rosie has sent a message trying to jolly us along into block 2, i sense that she despairs of us.
i still have a narrative tutorial to do, plus that 500-word thing that turned into the bastard son of Dean Friedman.
though this morning’s graphic equalizer reveries did get me thinking that it might actually be a good idea to do what they tell you to do and get up early to write.
the tutorial involves “describing, in no more than 50 words, a person who has recently caught your attention, perhaps in the street or on public transport” and then recounting an event they saw as a bystander from their pov. the event being a bbc news story i won’t read until i’ve chosen my character. i think i need to go for a walk and look for characters. 5 years ago

Anyone else in the midst of this??
Teach gave some useful pointers and some positive responses, so I am feeling a little more comfortable now. She thinks I am a ‘keen storyteller’ :) 5 years ago

I’m getting into a discussion with ‘man who has already been published and written novels’ about whether experience and age make for a better writer than youthful imagination. Feeling out of my depth already. 5 years ago

As on OU student you are entitled to an NUS card (in the UK at least, not sure about Berlin, Zanna) Which is well worth it for the discounts.
Must get my photo and get one ordered now. 5 years ago

Yesterday I decided NOT to do this…but today I read M. Lupin’s entry, clicked on the link, looked again, and thought “hey 10 points at level 1, 2 tiny TMAs, I can do this”, and I clicked on the link and registered.
Eeeekkkk!!! What have I done!!! 5 years ago
