Thank you for bringing this memory to mind. A weekend spent in the woods of Vermont with a woman I loved, inhibitions cast aside for three wonderful days without clocks, or highways, or cellphones. Washing her hair in the brook; finding an old pot in a hidden cellar-hole and using it to cook our dinner; dancing in the rain.

It was cold. The feeling of hundreds of little drops of water hitting my skins is one I will never forget.

In the evening or night, alone naked with rain, wind and light fog, it’s so near to nature, to power, to your very own self – it’s amazing. Best I like doing this high up in the mountains or on a cliff at the see. The air is so clear! It’s worth every time!

with enough booze you can do almost anything

Go do it next rainstorm. No excuses. You will be glad you did.

Ok so it was in the Carribean where even the rain is warm so maybe Im not suggesting running out in a storm in Scotland but I say do it theres no feeling like it!

I can’t remember if I was angry or depressed but it was dark and rainy and I was out of doors and full of some human feeling. I just went for it.

Make sure it’s in a dark place alone. That connection with nature is what makes it perfect.

I got walking pneumonia and neared death.
