Ayleesha wants 2 walk 2 the South Pole, climb Kilimanjaro & more
I donated food to the Tim Hortons:http://www.timhortons.com/ food collection program today. It felt great to finally do it :D
It can be easy too. If you don’t have a lot of money, you can do like me. Buy food over the course of a few months or more. Just buy stuff only when it’s on sale and use coupons if you can.
This time, I only donated food because I wasn’t sure what to get, but I plan on donating food, hygiene, baby, and vegetarian/vegan products to the Ottawa Food Bank:http://www.theottawafoodbank.ca/ next time. I plan on waiting for sales and using coupons I get in the newspapers, and when I have enough products, I’ll drop it off.

There is one Food Bank near where I live which I can donate to: The Ottawa Food Bank: http://www.theottawafoodbank.ca/ (that I know of). If people know of any other Food Banks (Gatineau, Hull, Ottawa, etc.), please feel free to let me know. Find out if your town has food banks where you can donate food.
As for food collection programs, I know that Tim Hortons: http://www.timhortons.com/ does food collections. They hand out paper bags and you put your non-perishables in and bring them back. Also, there is St-Vincent de Paul: http://www.ssvp.ca/, they do food collections for Christmas. They give Christmas baskets to needy families.
