We went for a long weekend to Manhattan, and found ourselves in the theatre district: wandered in off the street to see if there were any spare tickets for that evening. We saw Beauty and the Beast, and thoroughly enjoyed the show (though why the American audience talked through the overture is beyond me: all part of the cultural experience though!) but I still hanker after the second choice, an Off-Broadway play starring Judd Hirsch (I think? – formerly Taxi and Independence Day): well worth doing. They even gave away free plastic red roses, as I recall….

I saw Wicked on Broadway in Chicago and it was amazing…pricy, but you get what you pay for.

i went and saw beauty and the beast when i was younger and ever since i’ve wanted to be an actress!
Have seen several Broadway shows but to be honest I prefer the off-broadways and way-off-broadway shows better. I enjoy the intimacy of the smaller theatres. But definitely go see some shows. And don’t forget that The Late Show with David Letterman is created on broadway as well. I was in the studio audience once and even got to perform in a skit! Got to meet almost the whole crew of the show.

I’ve seen Chicago, BKLYN, Once upon a Matress and the Full Monty on Broad way and they were all amazing!
I saw Les Miserables on Broadway It was excellent I recommend seeing a show on (or OFF) broadway to anyone :)
I’ve seen a few shows off of Broadway, but I’ve never actually been to one on Broadway. Would LOVE to go, seeing as my dream would be to be on the stage.
