In 2000, I bought my first camcorder, a Panasonic DV400, but I haven’t really used it much. The only “film” I’ve really shot and edited was a twenty minute vacation piece I shot in Eureka Springs, Arkansas when I was married.
I’ve had some ideas for more creative films I could shoot, but I just haven’t gotten around to actually making them, yet. I could combine this with my goal of screenwriting, then, since it’s unlikely anyone else would produce my script. In fact, I had an idea for a one-man teleplay that I would be the star of, several years ago. It was a science fiction film about a man who awakes to find himself the only one left on earth and everyone else has vanished. I decided the logistics of digitally removing people, cars, etc. from the scenes was more than I could handle, so I forgot about it.
