The ones that matter I reflect upon on a frequent basis, the one’s that don’t obviously didn’t need to be remembered anyway. A running log of what I’ve read seems unimportant in the big picture. Having said that, I really ought to read more…. I’m so fractured in interest with things that I often have 3 on the go at the same time. Then I lose interest. It takes a great book, or great boredom to get me through one in a short time.

Catch 22
Where The Red Fern Grows
Great Expectations
Lonesome Dove
Yesterday I Cried
Into Thin Air
Into The Wild
A Bell For Adano
The DaVinci Code
Wow – what a short list. Of the hundreds of books a person reads you’d think there’d be more that mattered.

HHhmmm. Not “now” obviously – but when I decided to start this goal I suppose. At least the ones I’ve already listed . Maybe start writing down the ones that stand out that I have read – one’s that touched me or helped me or are my favorite or something and starting now keep a general leger. More like 2 lists really. I think I’m overthinking this.

I hope winter will make me crack down and start reading again. I can’t seem to sit still long enough to read. So distracted, totally ADD – have like 4 books on the go, but never finishing them.

I have a great little journal specifically for keeping track of the books I’ve read. Love it!

I’m trying to remember just back as far as January and I can’t. I have written on the inside flap the date finished on most of the books I’ve read so that may help. Still, I don’t read a lot, and I want to, but I have trouble focusing so I usually have a few on the go and then forget I’m reading them, maybe this list will help.

I started doing this two years ago…it gives you a sense of accomplishment to look back and see how many books you’ve read in a year (although I’m not doing too well this year, which I blame on the fact that I have not yet found myself unemployed). It’s also been interesting to see how many books I completely forget after I read them—far too many, which doesn’t say much about my choice of reading material.
