Thax is trying to keep my head above water
How I did it: I'd put it off for a whole year, but the paperwork was all in, and the ex had mailed that last piece months and months ago. I had to force every step back into that building, but I went through the steps and had all my stuff in order finally. One gavel bang, and that was it. Read how I did it…

handprintonmyheart getting back to my 43 things!
I had my hearing in the middle of October and the judge signed it off for me and said that it would be final upon entry of judgment on the books. So…I’m just waiting for that letter to come in the mail to tell me that I’m legally single! Woohoo!

Another one of those things that’s taking too damn long. I finally got off my ass and sent some paperwork to the ex. Now I have to wait for her to fill it out, sign it, get it noterized, and mailed back so I can take it to the judge. It took me months to mail that thing. I’m an idiot.
I filed the final judgment this week. Whew! It took longer than I thought it would and I’m relieved that it’s done. Now I need to press for back child support. Perhaps it will never really be over…
One more form to notarize and send to the judge. Then I wait to see if the defendant sends back the form as well. This whole process has taken longer than I thought it would and I just want it over with. I feel divorced, I look divorced, I say I’m divorced (easier that way) so just wish it was official. I’m not involved with anyone so it’s not that—it’s just a status thing I guess.
I want my divorce finalize and i don’t have to pay a lot of money.love to have it done in two to three weeks.
And the only thing I was really happy with on the papers was that I’m not married anymore, and my last name is “Thompson” again. My lawyer was a disappointment.
But we’ll see how things go, for now at least.

“Is there a way I can change a few things in my divorce papers without having to pay my attorney a fee to adjust them?”
