This, to me, is a luxury…basically, not anyone and everyone will trust you or even give, what you say, a chance. I feel lucky, because I have had others try something I suggest…just because I suggested them and for no other reason. I appreciate that. 4 years ago

Sigh…this is the best. Fresh out of the dryer sheets and down comforter feel like nothing else. 4 years ago

Snuggly dogs can be big or small. I have two small yorkies who love to snuggle with me on cold, rainy days. 4 years ago

I used the Avobath on Wednesday and I remember now how much I miss these things. The bath bombs fizzed and spun around in the tub turning the water a dark green. I soaked and relaxed. I felt energized and wonderful for the rest of the day. 5 years ago

This is also in the “unexpected” category as I went into the record store to pick up my CD orders and came out with vinyl copy of Revolver. I was talking to the owner/Jared for a while and, as I was on my way out the door, I noticed he putting away a stack of records. On the bottom of the stack was a copy of Revolver. I lost my ability to speak, at the moment, because I was so excited about seeing this. He said it was a Mono copy and had a few scratches but played well. So, he sold me the record. Now, I’m not sure how rare it truly is to find a vinyl copy of Revolver but, to find it in this lucky way without searching, is rare to me. 5 years ago

This is a rare Police shirt that is a replica for the Synchronicity tour. I am told there are only 500 existing. So, unique gift for me. Anyway, this makes the list as it is a gift I truly didn’t expect. 5 years ago

I really dig the moonroof in my CR-V. I consider this one tiny luxury I will never give up if I buy a new vehicle. There have been spring/summer evenings I have taken time to just drive around with the moonroof open to feel the cool air. I also love it in the warm afternoons and the crisp mornings… 5 years ago

No matter what, bubble baths will always make a list, like this, for me. I often take small chocolates or cheesecake with me. I often take wine, candles, and music. Bubble baths are the best. 5 years ago

I’m not sure why I find this such a luxury but, I have a tendency to flip through magazines I find when I am visiting friends. Hopefully, not while engaged in conversation, but rather, along with my friend or as part of discussion. I guess it could be really distracting. Still, it just feels kind of fun…this would include waiting for a haircut appointment and checking out the mags while you wait. Everything looks so much more interesting than magazines I own and this only lasts a little while, not enough to take up too much time. 5 years ago

Another treat for me was taking an entire day and devoting it to a spa at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. I did this 4ish years ago. It was so worthwhile and I’m happy I was able to do it. 5 years ago

One day I decided to take the rest of the afternoon off of work. I came into work in the morning and just took the afternoon off for no reason, other than, I needed a break and wanted to get out and spend time out for me. I remember shopping and being lazy and taking a bubble bath with music blaring throughout the house. I call it a Secret Day because I didn’t mention it to anyone else and it felt nice to have unplanned, much needed time off. 5 years ago

You know, I never did win the tickets, myself. I was dating someone who stayed up until 3 a.m. to win them. I was the lucky one who was invited. Either way, we won 13th row to the first ever Pointfest in St. Louis. It was so much fun. We saw Midnight Oil, Hothouse Flowers, Matthew Sweet, They Might Be Giants, Dramarama, and probably other bands I can’t remember right now. Anyway, something about winning the tickets off the radio felt really exciting, even at 3 a.m. 5 years ago

I’ve had my car detailed only once. I remember having it done and not truly understanding how very nice it feels when it is done. My car had never looked so neat, tidy and clean. I promised myself I would do this for my car, at least, once a year…never quite was able to hold myself to that. Still, so worthwhile. 5 years ago

I’ve had Room Service a 2-3 times in the past. The best, however, is breakfast. There is something about it. I don’t know if it is the ability to hang out in comfy bathrobes, jammys, messy hair, etc. or what but there is something very cool about it. I would also say the type of hotel room, location, view…also makes a difference. Still, something wonderful to do. 5 years ago

what to use for a title for this one…basically, I was thinking about small things that you do every once in a while that one should experience, at least, once in a lifetime. They may be incredibly simplistic but so worthwhile. 5 years ago
