I at one point today was beginning to procrastinate. But then I snapped out of it and got to work. I see this as an improvement!

been working hard all day and yet there is still so much to do. If I am to be disciplined without burning out I must find a way of not seeing what I must do as a trial. I must not see it as “overwhelming” but as a fun challenge. I learned this today and it does work! But, I also need to take a break from Japanese study and try another subject so I don’t get burned out on Japanese! :)

doing this is the ONLY way I can ever hope to overcome my shortcomings.

I have to fix myself before I can tackle really big things. I’ll be back.

I want to attain intermediate status in french by 6 months and be nearly fluent in spanish by the same time. I have a lot of work ahead of me…

I am out to attain fluency in many languages. My top three at the moment are spanish, french and japanese. So I have an (almost) intermediate understanding of spanish. And I’m in beginner’s french. What I will do then is start japanese when I’ve attained intermediate understanding of french (and more understanding of spanish).

Isn’t it ridiculous how easily one can burn out? Sometimes you just don’t see how you could burn out so easily. I really want to be a person of amazing personal discipline! I’m not talking about perfectionism. To do what you must when you must and even go beyond that and get a head’s start on tomorrow’s priorities. That is what I want! A steady sense of discipline where you can push yourself and not fear mental collapse.
