I have learned that there is a system. Its not just laziness.
I really is about having a system and keeping a sharp eye for clutter build up.
Procrastination is sloths best ally.
Like my grandma used to say: a place for everything and everythign in its place. That has helped me a lot.
I also found so many duplicates, forgotten things, beloved things thought lost. Its so good to go through it all. Even the paper. I found unopened checks. Yea.. literally a treasure trove.
Best tips:
find a spot for every thing you pick up (and it might just be the tras)
trash or give away duplicates
categorize storage areas and NEVER have a “catch all” or “Junk drawer”
Hang shelves and buy bins/baskets,trays whatever
Its tiring and your neighbours will think you are moving out but its well worth it. So nice to be able to find everything! 2 months ago
