become a robotcooper

I found a job that rocks in Portland, which I like better than Seattle. I’d still love to hang out with the Seattle Ruby crowd, but I guess I don’t have to work there to do that.

I tried, but I am just not ready for another tech job right now.

This goal really is just a side-shoot of the Find My Ideal Job category—I have worked for very small companies, medium-sized companies and gigantic corporations and have enough experience behind me to know this: I like being a visible cog in the works, I like getting things done. The last month has illustrated how little that happens when you are one of 22,000 employees.

I’ve been a robotcooper (nice word, Nando) since September 1st. I enjoy our big open office without walls, one enormous window, a great coffehouse down the street, a brewpub downstairs, and the fine Vietnamese cuisine at Ballet.
