I had the priviledge to listen to Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” played live at the Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra Hall in KLCC. They had a different violin soloist play each season. It was really awesome especially when they played my favourite, Concerto in G minor, ‘Summer’.
When the final soloist played “Winter”, which I thought was the hardest piece, he must’ve gotten into it whole-heartedly that he broke the string on his bow. Yet somehow he was able to continue, much to my amazement.. tho I thot it did sound a bit “pitchy” afterwards.
All in all, a very gratifying experience!
