Tell him i've fallen for him without worrying he'll leave me

Ive fallen for him and i dont know how to tell him in person.
ive written it down. but he just called me a “silly boy”.
Im not sure why.
but there are certain things you cant say anymore to people who’ve been hurt in the past.
