find a new home

today im away on the first of my house hunting trips, im feeling positive and hope to bring good news.

I really need to move out, I am living with 3 other people and although I prefer not to live with males I feel like I don’t have a choice because it is very cheap and right now I really can’t afford a more expensive rent. Only problem now is that my housemates rarely clean and I have to share the bathroom with them which is sometimes sooo dirty, its very uncomfortable..on top of that, I don’t know if it is my imagination but it seems like one of my housemate follows me around! he gives me the creeps tbh..I think I will just look around for another share apartment, or maybe get a second job, a weekend one so I can afford to live on my own instead of sharing

This fall, I went off to college.

Normally, for most people going off to college basically means chicks, booze, cool stuff to study (or not) and that’s about all. Lodging is by no means a priority to most students – especially boys.

Not the case.

I have just discovered that I basically have no home anymore.

Well, of course, there is always the old apartment in my hometown (350km away from where I study now), but I kind of stopped feeling at home there. Sure, it’s where I grew up, but now I sort of feel like I’m just a guest – I don’t belong here anymore. And the next fall, when my parents are going to move into a new house in the (almost) countryside.. well, that is definitely not going to be my home.

In Bucharest, I currently live in a dorm room. No, actually it’s more of a shithole. With weird flatmates (six of them, even). So, naturally, I’m desperate to move out. Which I will, come January.. but only as a temporary solution. Me and my future flatmate are looking for an apartment with two separate rooms.. and a cheap one too. So I wish ourselves luck and I really really hope we’ll find a cute place to rent that we can call home.

Since we are not moving across the state, there is no need to look for a new home.

...it was worth doing. I don’t live there yet!

Ever since we left my father, Ive been trying to look for a new place to live. We’re staying at my grandparents house right now, but its too small for everyone to live there. I have to strong and take care of my family now. Ive been looking everywhere to find a new place that is close to my lil brothers school… i hope to find a new place soon…

I moved in to a beach resort apartment 2 days ago! I have to drive about 5 to 10 minutes more than I was before to get to work but so what?! I’m live at the beach, I have a 25m pool, sauna, spa and tennis courts in my backyard! Sure, you can see the airport from my bedroom window but that is just a reminder of the wonders of modern technology (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, see a movie called “The Castle”). So if I get the urge to suddenly fly off, I can walk to the airport and I’m out of here! But where would I go, I already live in a resort!!

I just went and saw this place and I was blown away. For $110/week I get a room in a 4th floor apartment with ocean-views, access to heated swimming pool and spa, sauna, gym, tennis courts. All this is right on the beach. I don’t even have to cross the road to get to the beach. I am amazed. I have met one of the other tenants and he seems like a really cool guy, very relaxed and easy going. The other tenant I am yet to meet. I am crossing my fingers that everything is OK with him also.
I am so excited about this, I hope it works out.

I am still grieving for my broken family situation but I have accepted that I must move on. I am keen to make this move as positive as possible so I am paying close attention to my gut (its usually good at warning me of trouble). It took me a long time to understand what it means to “go with your gut” but I get it now. Sometimes I forget to pay attention to it but not this time.

I wonder when, if ever, things will be as they should be.

I just found out that I’ll be in a management development course next year that will lead to more “acting higher duties” in offices in different parts of the Sunshine Coast, all of which will be a long way from Maleny.
So, the new plan is to find a share-house that’s pretty central and near the highway. (public transport is just not an option around here)
