Hey, neighbor. I don’t stop by your 43-things page often enough, or interact very often, but when I do, I’m always rewarded. Seeing that it was your birthday yesterday, I thought I’d take the opportunity to tell you how awesome I find your goals and entries. I especially identify with the following things that you’ve written about:
- Starting on 43-things at a time of radical change in your life.
- Grieving the loss of a parent after a period of extended care-giving.
- Coping with health problems and aging.
- Trying to figure out how to support yourself financially.
- Trying to express your creativity through your pottery, your writing, and other things that you do.
- Trying to help needy friends and set appropriate boundaries.
- Trying to make a difference.
- Sharing about all these things honestly and openly on 43-Things, with determination and a sense of humor, in the spirit of Rosie the Riveter and her generation of strong women.
I hope that the coming year is one where you can take charge, find healing, continue to express your artistry and creativity. I’m glad to know that you’re in my neighborhood. I wish you many happy returns.
