This time, I “lasted” only 20 minutes. Still, I felt refreshed afterwards. And that says a lot, because the change to daylight saving time is killing me!

I did my first meditation time yesterday. It was brilliant!
I sat in lotus seat in a cushion with DIY earmuffs on to muffle the sounds around me, as bf decided this was a good moment to unload the dishwasher and cook dinner.
I concentrated on my breathing and took off my glasses as I tried to do this with eyes open, focussed on a point 12 finger widths away from my nose. But I have a really colourful carpet, which also distracted me, so I closed my eyes and sank into a very nice relaxation.
Every thought that floated into my head, I let carefully go, not surpressing, but just sending them on their merry way.
I noticed after a while that I was slouching and that my foot had fallen asleep, but instead of getting frustrated, I just straightened up, changed position to allow blood flow into my foot again and continued with concentrating on my breathing.
The last thing I did was think of somebody I love unconditionally. So I concentrated on my baby nephew Elias. This made me very happy inside.
I thought I’d last only ten, 15 minutes, but when I “came around”, I noticed that nearly 30 minutes had passed by.
I hope I can repeat this very positive experience more often. Doing things regularly is the big obstacle with all the new things I like doing.
