One down..  — 11 months ago

I finished Kambia Elaine today. I was kind of disappointed with it overall. I found myself getting frustrated with the overwhelming amount of similes. The reason I read it was because a good friend recommended it to me and then gave me the book. It never truly captured my interest; I only read it so we could talk about it later and so I could honestly say that I read it.

Summer  — 11 months ago

Has gone by so fast! I have a week and a half of nothing to do before it starts up again. So here’s the list I’m demanding myself to finish in that time

*When Kambia Elaine Flew In From Neptune (I’m half way through)
*Colman
*Pride and Prejudice (half way through)
*Wicked (I want to reread before reading Son of a Witch)
*Son of a Witch

I have quite a few books on the shelf but I really want to finish these before school gets in the way of time…

My mom  — 1 year ago

Gets books for free where she works. In the past month, she’s brought home about 20 books for me to read. They range from recent fiction, to Jane Austen type classics. It’s going to be a while before I can complete this goal…then again, Summer is coming…

Impossible!  — 1 year ago

I wanted to make this happen, but I couldn’t.

This is a tough one.  — 1 year ago

I’ve only purchased three books since I’ve adopted this goal. Much better than my book-a-week addiction. Next I need to make a list of all of my books and start going through them.

Wow- I just counted all my books that I haven’t read and there’s almost SIXTY! And that’s not even including my beloved Agatha Christie books which I’m trying to spread out over like my whole life, since she’s my favorite author. :) But yeah. Definitely proof that I need to read the books I have before I buy more!

I almost bought a book yesterday but put it back after much deliberation.

Wedge  — 3 years ago

The first book from my collection I’ve decided to read is Wedge about the rift between the CIA and FBI. I’m halfway through the 467 page paperpack. It’s a good read.
