see the backstreet boys in concert

Yay.

They really are getting older, so many slower songs when all I would have wanted to do was jump and dance and scream and sing, especially when they have so many good faster songs. Nick’s drum solo was amazing though, it drove me crazy for a while. ♥

But I do prefer small venue gigs to arena concerts such as this. They are so much more intimate… I did remember how wonderful live music is, though, I hardly ever go see even my favourite artists in concerts, but I think that might change now. Music flows free, it’s amazing.

wow this is incoherent. Erm… I enjoyed the concert. I really don’t know what else to say. :D

I was watching Music Station when Backstreet Boys were there (on February 15th) and when they performed Inconsolable (although I wasn’t 100% sure was it playback or not :DD) it hit me that I’m really going to see them in… 51 days. I’m a bit jealous of those who get to see them more than once during their European tour and even though I could do that as well, I know I wouldn’t enjoy it that much in the end. If I were to attend more than one show, it would all become some sort of a ‘performance’ instead of an experience (too much of sweet stuff is never good for you or something like that?). So yeah, I’m really content to be able to see them at least once. ♥

I keep bursting out in creepy giggles every time I happen to glance at the tickets. I wonder when it’s really going to hit me that I’m going to see them. For real. I wonder how early I need to go queuing so that I can get to the front row… wait, why am I thinking about this already?! Oh my, so much happiness.

And so the countdown begins… ♥

Ticket sales start on January 23rd and I’ll be damned if I don’t get a ticket. Ever since their newest album I’ve waited for them to come here, or even to Europe, and now they’re coming! I was so ecstatic when I first read about their concert in Finland – that was almost a month ago – and I’m so happy it’s finally confirmed and everything!

I was fifteen, and it was just after the release of Black and Blue. I’m a rabid Metallica fan, but I’m not going to lie: BSB carried me through childhood, and the concert kicked ass. Even though AJ made some weepy speech about drug addiction.

It was incredable, I grew up listening to those guys and then I go and see them it was just awesome, seeing them in concert and knowing that I listened to them when I like like 10.. was friggin wicked!!!
