become an artist

so this year. I decided to try out an art class. I should have taken a Drawing class level one, because i’ve never done art.

But i took a chance and i took AP STUDIO. The class was face paced, and difficult, because i didnt know any of the basics. But its been months, and after much crying and urges to burn everything i’ve done.

i finally finished 24 pieces to send in to the AP graders.

it was such an amazing feeling. To finally finish the class. And Just look at the work that i thought i could never do!

and I have been for quite some time. I’m not making all my money from making art, but that is what I plan to do.

Instead of saying I am an administrator and I make things on the side, I am going to start saying I’m an artist and I administrate on the side to make ends meet.

So there!

I have loved art since I was 2 thats why I want to become an artist. By the way i am 8.

I want to feel like I’m an artist. Not someone that picks up a pen and draws a stick figure to pass the time. Not someone that wants to be famous.

I want to create something meaningful for myself. I want to look at myself in the mirror and know that today I will create something that I can be proud knowing that I made it.

Tomorrow, I start taking two art classes for this spring semester. I want to know by the time finals roll around, that I won’t pack up my clay, or my paints and think.. now what?

I’m 13 but I’m good at drawing pictures and I’m capable and have good ideals and i have millions of characters

I love art. I want to go to college and take classes. I want to study graphic arts.
