How I did it: I put myself out there after a convention back in July.  I meet a really nice, funny guy during his Friday night stand-up show.  We talked a bit during the convention, though he spent most of it working, and after I got home I found him on the forums and we started talking.  Forum PMs went to MSN messenger then to phone conversations and then to visits.  :)

Lessons & tips:

  1. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there.
  2. The worst they can say is "no" and a two letter response is not as bad as it could be.

    First date in a long time 20 months ago

    I’ve just come off a longterm relationship (more than a year) so this will be my first “first date” in quite a while (coming Saturday). She seems quite eager to meet me and she seems quite nice, so I hope something comes of it :)

    It’s been a real long time since I have been out on a date. Dates are always fun. Feeling nervous, pulling out the chair for her(yeah I’m that kinda guy), Flirt and talking. Some times they can go bad, but I have yet had a bad date. And watch… since I said that my next date is gona be a bad one, lol!

    i hadn’t been on a date in quite a while. actually, in a really long time…the reasons are many and too long to ponder on here. but this, my friends, was a great date. oh, and i got a great kiss to boot. yeay me.
