I am so bad about putting money into my IRA. I know how important it is to contribute – more now than ever with the fact that Social Security is not going to be there for me when I come of age to retire. And if I do not start contributing there will be nothing there for me to live on. I have to get over this deep rooted feeling of knowing that once I commit to putting the money into this account – it is virtually untouchable until I am retirement age. Even when I have a few extra bucks, I seem to put it into a savings account instead of my IRA.
But I did just make a small contribution the other day and I am hoping to keep increasing the amounts and contribute more regularly. This is an important goal I need to get a handle on.
I think I also do not contribute regularly because I am so unorganized and lack discipline in completing regular everyday tasks. 7 years ago
