i made a Frankenstein Stencil that turned out very sick.
its a shame that the place painted over it the next week.
but it was a start.
i have a tag as well, but im not happy with it.
so when i get some time i might work at it.
otherwise i am happy =]
How to graffiti something
How I did it: First I made stencils. Once you have an idea of what you want to do, find a website [there are plenty] that will teach you to do this. After you've completed your design, making sure you've eliminated all islands by attaching them with bridges to the rest of the stencil, print it off [unless you've drawn it of course] and glue it to a piece of cardboard. Then get out your handy exacto knife and start cutting extremely carefully. I've done some fairly complicated stencils, and there is nothing more frustrating than severing a bridge. Anyways, once the technical bits are done, you need paint [spray paint works best of course, but acrylic will work if you apply it carefully]. Practice a few times before going public. But once you are all ready, just do it. A friend of mine and I went out in the middle of the day and covertly painted my stencils all over town. It's really not at all hard, but it's nice to have an accomplice. Having company reduces any anxiety you may have.
Lessons & tips: I prefer daytime graffiti. Stenciling at night makes me nervous, as it feels far more criminal. It's much harder to be aware of your surroundings in the dark.
Resources: There was an instructional website that I used long ago when I was first learning to make stencils, but that bookmark has mysteriously disappeared...and I'm certain anyone reading this is capable of googling 'how to make stencils'.

Last week, my roommate and I wrote, “Hammer time!” under the “STOP” on most of the main stop signs on campus. It was the week before exams and we wanted to something fun to take our minds off studying. Kinda silly, but we definitely had a good time!
I have a stencil design all planned out. I have spraypaint. I just need to find some cardboard and make the stencil (easy) and work up the courage to sneak out and graffiti something somewhere (hard). :)
ChiOmegaGirl is a mommy! She's finally here!
This is a fond memory, but not really much of a story. We did it, it’s done, and it was hilarious, but “they” painted back over it and all is as it once was ; )
Also, spray paint is a pain in the butt…
I’m useless with a can of spray paint, unless it involves someone I don’t like.
But I think I’ll go with chalk for a temporary message. Something uplifting. Maybe a cartoon or a quote, or just something crazy random.
I got kicked out of a bar once for writing Guns don’t kill people, Rabbits do, with a little cartoon next to it. It was only in the toilets. Better than I shagged Stacy here.
Paint gets everywhere, and in the end, if you’re not an expert, it never turns out like you expected.
This is something I’ve always wanted to do…mainly because I want to make a statement, stop playing it safe, and do something crazy with my art.
Just once would be fine…I need to get up the nerve. Maybe even find somebody to do it with?
Got my first bomb down YESTERDAY
with my bestest friend Joey of course. almost got nabbed, it was awsome
