I guess it’s one of those things to reflect on from your past as being something “fun” at the time. I moshed at The Exploited show in the early 90’s. Don’t remember much from that night! 23 months ago

I’d love to but never had the guts. Always heard these amazing injury stories and decided it probably wasn’t for me. But then I didn’t think headbanging was (try and stop me now :P). It sucks listening to my favourite bands and not allow myself to enjoy the pits… 2 years ago
How I did it: bought tickets to see some bands, went to the concert, pushed my way to the front and moshed away .................................................................................................................. dot dot dot the end! Read how I did it… 2 years ago
How I did it: idk... rocking out durring 3 days grace and a mosh pit opened in front of me... decided i wanted to be in... some chick started w/ me... i punched her in the face and broke her nose, and made her spit out 2 teeth...ROCK ON Read how I did it… 3 years ago
Went to see Mindless Self Indulgence last night in Kansas City.
INTENSE.
If you’ve ever seen MSI, you know that the entire crowd waves and moshes. So, although it wasn’t in an actual mosh pit, I feel like I did do some nice moshing.
Next time will be better. 4 years ago
I went to Rockfest in June, and couldn’t suppress the urge to jump in and knock everyone the fuck around. However, I am raaather weak, and don’t want to get knocked around to the point that it’s out of control.
I’m most definitely going to be working out
so I can go out and kick some mother fucking ASS.
Or just… push some bitches around.
You know.
Chevelle in two days?
Don’t think I’ll be ready.
Mindless Self Indulgence, September sixth?

What a freakin adrenaline rush?! I love how you just lose sight of everything else that’s going on. As long as you don’t get punched in the head or kicked in the face from some of the spazs… it’s a great time! 4 years ago

I used to mosh a lot in many local gigs when I was like 15 or so. Of coure, I moshed with people like ten feet taller than me, I was always scared to death.
Even so, I enjoyed a fucking lot moshing and moshing, I sometimes miss it. 4 years ago
Moshed through three bands with a couple breaks!-
First I was smashed onto this soft plump girl-
Then fell into this really bony guy. I bruised my arm on his pelvic bone, ow hardness!-
Whoa that was dirty sounding!-
Slamed into some dude’s back and lost my glasses!-
Freaked out about getting them crushed!-
Found myself in the middle of like five big sweaty dudes!-
Ate a smelly guys wet hair!-
Got drenched in stage water, ahh!-
Was sore as crap until three/four days later!-
-Concert ticket= $10
-Bottle of Water= $2
-Pee break= uh pretty much free
-Telling my friends they can kiss my ass cause I moshed and head banged my frickin’ heart out while they stood in the back and thought evil thoughts such as ‘Leaving Early! O.O’!=Cherished 4 years ago
..can’t really remember but it was so much fun. First time was at a Beastie Boys concert in Cologne in 1999. I coudln’t walk for the a week but it was worth it. People were sweaty and I constantly grabbed someone’s wet T-Shirt but hey, who cares!
Second time was at a Libertines concert in Berlin in 2004. The best concert ever!!! I had to have a break cos I was about to collapse or something. Need.water.
Not sure about that third time but if I did then it was at a festival in Weeze, Bizarre, in 2000. I only went on the Saturday not the whole 3 days but it was awesome (apart from the toilets and showers etc urgh).. 4 years ago
It’s fun as hell.
You’ll hurt all over the next morning, if you did it right, but it’s still worth it. 5 years ago
Hadn’t moshed in over six months, since I left Manchester, then on Friday went to see the Hedrons, pit was pretty small, but still, it was enough to remind me what I was missing. I need to get back to Manchester! 5 years ago
A word of advice: Never mosh in an emo mosh pit for your first time, you will die. 5 years ago
i LOVE to mosh! My first ever mosh pit was at an Oasis concert when i was 15. Not only did we mosh, we crowd surfed too! Probably the best night of my life up until this date. Since then I’ve seen over 50 live bands…so been in another 50 mosh pits =). i’d have to say german mosh pits are the most brutal though…and at this one music festival i got so trampled just before The Hives were to come on i had people standing on my NECK. no broken bones though =)...yet! 5 years ago
i got so annihilated. and i’m not doing it again…i decided i don’t like getting punched in the face. ha. but it was fun. 5 years ago
went to mosh at every single concert in town. And to Pilani as well :-) 5 years ago
Everyone needs to mosh! It’s exciting, gets you involved, and makes the whole experience of the gig totally awesome. If you end up on the floor, try to get back up, I didn’t and ended up on crutches with a twisted knee, but it was worth it.5 years ago
I went to a concert today with a friend. We faced near death moshing. Totally worth doing. Don’t even worry about getting hit. 5 years ago
Some boy gave me a bloody nose, the sight of which brought my friend to tears so, though little chickie me was ready to go beat him up (adrenaline, you know) I ended up doing the girl thing – going to the girls room. This was so my crying friend could take care of me (or was I taking care of her?) 5 years ago
Well, of course people will always be MEAN… I went to a Fall Out Boy concert and like let’s just say I didn’t fit in there? I mean I guess you can say i’m a prep and there was a bunch of “emo” kids around me.. so then I was like freaking out because I had seen it and like people were making fun of me so of course.. they pushed me in one.. I didnt know what to do.. so I ended up getting punched in the face.. haha it’s pretty funny though :] I would do it again just not get hurt.. 5 years ago
So I missed the whole moshing experience. Didnt go to my first concert til I was 22. But thankfully I was still young enough to enjoy it. Had my first mosh this year. Didnt even realise it was a moshpit til too late. But it was a lot of fun. Lost my friends, lost my thongs, found a cell. Nothing like having hundreds of sweaty strangers rub against you to loud music to feel like you’re alive! ...dont think I’d do it again soon though. 5 years ago
