fix my wireless modem

..on trying to get the wireless modem fixed. Bought a new one instead. If I had to get it fixed, mean I’d have to bring it to Aztech support center, which I don’t know when I’ll get around to doing it.

The modem is fine for wired connection. So I can still use my home PC to browse the internet etc. But the wireless radio is not transmitting and the LED light for wireless does not even blink (it usually blinks when it’s working well).

I don’t know what happened. This has occurred before but previously the problem went away by itself. Now, nothing I do would solve this. So despite my having a wireless modem at home, I have to be wired to get internet connection. Both my dad and brother have been complaining about this too.

I’m using an Aztech ADSL modem (600EW). If anyone has a clue on how to resolve this, feel free to offer any advice or tips. I’ve already reset it to default settings, reconfigure the wireless setup but no luck so far. I don’t want to meddle with the firmware so that’s the one thing I haven’t done.

Next week a friend will take a look at it and see if he’ll have better luck tinkering with it. Another option would be to go to Aztech support office and see if they can offer any insight. Last resort would be to buy a brand new wireless modem!
