give back to India

India is becoming more Western in a lot of ways, more conservative, more oriented towards becoming powerful, big, etc. But I’m concerned about the quality of life there (not money, but pollution, people’s health, etc.). I’m also concerned about all the many ways in which the culture and traditions I value so much (crafts, textiles, arts, dance, jewelry, etc) are dying.

I’d love to give that back to India and help preserve these traditions. And, since so many people there value things that come from the West, I’d love to work the Western angle and really show people just how important it is to hold on to those traditions that are value—to them and to the world.
